Hello and welcome back to the Gravel Notes Podcast.

It has been quite a while since our last post but I’m pleased to say that we are back after a bit of a rebrand. The eagle eyed will have noticed that Gravel Notes is now its own standalone venture that will be now managed by myself as an independent publisher, which is quite an exciting step.

So what can you expect from the new look Gravel Notes? Well, we will still be bringing you interviews and analysis from the WRC, but there will be a lot more what I like to call rally culture content. For those that know me, it is fair to say I have addiction to collecting model rally cars, so there will be a few episodes delving into this hobby. We will talk to several collectors in and around the WRC service park about their collections while also reviewing the latest products on the market.

Likewise, when I have some down time from working as a freelance rally journalist you will find me playing rally computer games, whether its the latest stunning simulations like Assetto Corsa Rally or EA WRC, to retro classics like Richard Burns Rally and the Colin McRae Rally series. It’s fair to say these games particularly the retro titles are a key enforcer of my love of rallying. Over the next weeks and months we will review the latest virtual stages and take a look back at the classic games that brought rallying into our homes.

And finally this podcast will also be home for all things slot car rallying. If you don’t have the luxury of an endless pot of money to go rallying for real, going slot car rallying ticks a lot of boxes. So we will be publishing some episodes on this hobby and take a look at the latest cars to drive and the stages out there to tackle.

I agree its a bit niche and nerdy but I hope that there will be something of interest for you rally fans out there to enjoy and get involved in.

So how can you keep up to date with Gravel Notes? The podcast will be available from your chosen podcast provider and on YouTube. But we also have brand new flashy website designed by a good friend of mine Adam Piggot. I’ve got to say big thanks to Adam for his hard work in getting this project off the ground and for the stunning new Gravel Notes podcast artwork, which I think really captures perfectly what we are trying to achieve.

That enough from me for now. I hope you will join us for more over the next few months.
